Most women who give birth to healthy babies are somewhere between 25 and 35 pounds during pregnancy. Of course, this varies, depending on your body type and weight before conception. If you’re underweight before pregnancy, you probably get a bit more if you were overweight, you may get a little less. Being underweight or overweight during pregnancy is associated with an increased risk of complications. Therefore, knowing your healthy weight before pregnancy is so important.
